Who we are
HSBC Electronic Data Service Delivery S.A.E (HEDS) is one of the Global Service Centers (GSCs) operating from eight countries which form an integral part of HSBC’s Global Operations. GSC Egypt was established in 2010 and commenced its operations from Smart Village in the 6th of October district, with just 85 employees at the time. We currently encompass over 2,400 employees with continuous growth plans. We began with servicing the MENAT region and have expanded to cover several markets across Europe and the world, becoming a comprehensive business services unit that supports HSBC customers and businesses across more than 40 different countries, in four main languages: Arabic, English, French and German.
What we do
Our GSCs process roughly 1.7 trillion customer transactions each year. The GSC Egypt team plays a vital role in driving great experiences for customers and stakeholders around the world, and enables the bank’s strategy. We deliver high-quality financial and professional services which include transactions for our retail and corporate banking clients, managing customer inquiries through contact centers and digital platforms, facilitating payments and credit applications, screening and mitigating financial crime risk and managing core trade transactions for customers around the world. With a focus on streamlining and innovation, we are also currently facilitating safe growth for our businesses through the introduction of additional Global Functions Services in GSC Cairo. These include non-financial risk management, data management and analytics, as well as risk and compliance.
